VANCOUVER Police on Monday released an image of a man suspected of assaulting a senior in Kitsilano in the hopes that it leads to an identification.

Police were called on July 31 after a 73-year-old man was allegedly assaulted by an unidentified man near West Broadway and MacDonald Street shortly before 4 p.m. Investigators believe the suspect was yelling at passersby when the victim approached him and asked him to stop yelling and move along.

The two men became involved in a verbal altercation, during which the suspect allegedly pushed the victim to the ground. The victim suffered head injuries as a result of the assault.

The suspect is described as a White man with a medium build. At the time of the incident, he was shirtless, wearing grey shorts and white shoes.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call VPD investigators at 604-717-3321.
