SHORTLY after 4 p.m., RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit (SPOSU) officers responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision in the intersection of 96 Avenue and 161A Street in Surrey.
SPOSU officers, along with Surrey Fire Service (SFS), attended to find one vehicle on its roof and on fire. All occupants of both vehicles had safely gotten out. SFS firefighters quickly extinguished the fire.
The cause of the collision remains under investigation; however, at this early stage, it is believed that the speed of at least one of the vehicles may have been a contributing factor.
