Woman stabbed to death in Surrey; another person in serious condition

THE RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit frontline officers were called to a residence on Saturday at approximately 3 a.m. in the 14700-block 108A Avenue for reports of a stabbing.

Surrey Police Service and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit attended the area and located two individuals suffering life-threating injures. Despite life-saving measures, one woman succumbed to her injuries at scene. The second victim was transported to hospital and remains in serious condition. The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) has now taken conduct of this investigation.

The investigation is in the early stages and IHIT is working in partnership with Surrey Police Service and the RCMP Surrey Provincial Operations Support Unit officers to complete priority tasks.
