On Monday, at approximately 8 p.m., police and BC Ambulance Service received multiple 911 calls reporting that a youth had been stabbed. RCMP officers located a youth who had been stabbed. The youth, a resident of Surrey, was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
RCMP officers are presently speaking to witnesses and canvassing the area for possible video surveillance. Initial information is that a dispute occurred involving a group of youths apparently known to each other and the victim was stabbed by another youth. The suspect and several other youths fled before police arrived.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance and are asking that anyone who may have witnessed this assault, or observed persons fleeing from the area at the time, call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 or Crime Stoppers in reference to Surrey File # 2018-158011.
