* Saturday, July 26 – Nova Scotia: Team Fireworks FX

The Vancouver Fireworks Society said that in light of significant financial challenges, the return of the iconic event is also reason for celebration. It expressed appreciation for the ongoing support of title sponsor Honda and major sponsors including Concord Pacific, Tymac Launch Service, the Province of BC, the City of Vancouver, and the Vancouver Parks Board. It also thanked Destination Vancouver and other partners, including the West End BIA, for increasing their level of participation in 2025.
“The last several months have proven to be a challenging period for our great nation. However, the circumstances have also contributed to a wave of nationalism that is unprecedented,” said Michael McKnight, Co-Chair of the Vancouver Fireworks Festival Society. “It’s in that spirit that we are wrapping our 2025 event in the Canadian flag and celebrating everything that is great about this country.”
Canada’s iconic Snowbirds, the Royal Canadian Airforce 431 Air Demonstration Squadron, will also be a featured attraction on July 19 and 23.
“The Honda Celebration of Light is one of Vancouver’s signature summer events, showcasing B.C.’s spectacular tourism and hospitality sector to thousands of spectators each night of the festival,” said Spencer Chandra Herbert, Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture and Sport. “With an amazing lineup of all-Canadian pyrotechnic performances, this event will be a wonderful celebration of our Canadian identity, displaying the pride we share as a great nation. I invite Canadians, as well as visitors worldwide to join us for a truly memorable experience and the chance to explore the many other offerings of Vancouver and the surrounding areas.”
“We’re excited to welcome everyone, from Vancouverites to visitors from across the country and around the world, to this incredible event,” said Vancouver Mayor Ken Sim. “The Honda Celebration of Light is a summer tradition that brings people together and highlights the energy, diversity, and spirit of our city. It’s a celebration of everything that makes Vancouver special and what it means to be Canadian.”
The Vancouver Fireworks Society said that during a period of economic volatility, the Honda Celebration of Light will serve as a unifying force and provide a significant financial boost to the economy. The event has an economic impact of $265 million and is a huge shot in the arm for countless tourism and hospitality businesses in the west end and downtown peninsula.”
At approximately 10 p.m., attendees will see an electric drone show just prior to the fireworks.
At 10:15 p.m., the fireworks will begin from a barge located in English Bay. Music simulcast can be heard on CFMI Rock 101.
