ONTARIO’S Peel Regional Police investigators from the Commercial Auto Crime Bureau have charged three individuals in connection with an organized cargo theft investigation that took place in Mississauga.
On Monday, July 14, investigators located a stolen transport truck, reported stolen days earlier, in the area of Dixie Road and Meyerside Drive. Two additional transport trailers, also reported stolen days prior, were located in the area and linked to three individuals. As a result, Peel Police launched an investigation related to stolen transport trucks and trailers within the Region of Peel.
Following an investigation, with the assistance of the Aerial Support Unit and K9 Unit, officers arrested the involved individuals. Police recovered one transport truck and two trailers, with the total value to be estimated at $300,000, and the original stolen property valued at approximately $100,000.
The following individuals from Brampton were arrested, charged, and held for bail hearings at the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton:
Manjinder Singh Dhaliwal (42) and Harmash Lal Dadra (44):
- Possession of property obtained by crime (two counts)
- Theft over $5,000
- Possession of break-and-enter instruments
Rajwant Singh (31):
- Possession of property obtained by crime (two counts)
- Theft over $5,000
- Possession of break-and-enter instruments
- Breach of conditional sentence (two counts)
