35-year-old man shot in Surrey

ON Sunday, August 29, at approximately 3:230 a.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a male who had been shot in the 9100-block of 148 street.

Officers located a 35-year-old male suffering from a gunshot wound to his lower leg. He was transported to a local area hospital in stable condition with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the investigation is still in its early stages, but initial indications are that this incident is targeted and there is no risk to the public. There is also no indication that this incident is related to the Lower Mainland Gang Conflict.
