GIRLKIND and the Reach Gallery Museum have announced the sixth annual “Every Girl Matters Day,” in BC in conjunction with the UN’s Day of the Girl on October 11 – a day to call on all communities around the world to recognize the injustices girls face and to celebrate their abilities – at the Reach Gallery Museum, 32388 Veterans Way, Abbotsford, 4-5 p.m.
The day will be officially proclaimed as Every Girl Matters Day. This is a free event open to the public to come network with others, get involved and help celebrate this day.
Take part in the “Sticky Notes Project” by writing down your favorite quote or inspiring words, some words that you live by (everything will be provided) in this collaborative community art project. The notes will be posted on display at the Reach for the month of October; they later will be converted into a book. A great way for you to contribute to a bigger community project.
In addition, there will also be a draw where one lucky winner will take home a Samsung Galaxy Tablet. The first 50 attendees walk away with SWAG bags.
