Multi vehicle collision involving pedestrian in 6200-block of 144 Street in Surrey

SURREY RCMP say that a section of 144 Street is currently shut down due to a collision.

On Friday, April 12 at approximately 8:37 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a multiple motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian in the 6200-block of 144 Street.

Surrey Fire Department and BC Ambulance Service also attended to provide assistance to those involved.

Two persons were transported to local area hospitals with undetermined injuries.

Traffic in the area will be affected for an undetermined amount of time as officers continue their investigation. A road closure is in effect on 144 Street between 64 Avenue and 60 Avenue. The public are requested to avoid the area until further notice.

Police say the investigation is in its early stages. Investigators are collecting statements and canvassing for video. Anyone with information, including dash cam footage in the area on 144 Street, is asked to contact the Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-51286.
