Pedestrian killed in collision on Lougheed Highway in Maple Ridge

MAPLE Ridge RCMP say they were advised on Thursday at approximately 5:45 a.m. of a pedestrian being struck in the 26000-block of Lougheed Highway.

Officers immediately attended the area and learned that a male pedestrian had been struck by a motor vehicle while trying to corral his dogs. Unfortunately, the male has succumbed to his injuries. ICARs and Maple Ridge RCMP are currently on scene. The roads between 272 Street and 240 Street remain closed at this time for investigation until further notice, police said.
