ON May 19, Abbotsford Police patrol officers responded to an overnight break-and-enter at a business in the 2200-block of Townline Road.

Just days later, on May 26, patrol officers attended another overnight break-and-enter at a local business in the 31100-block of Peardonville Road.

Detectives from Abbotsford Police’s Crime Reduction Unit took over the investigation and identified similarities between the two incidents and quickly identified and arrested a suspect.

On May 27, Devon Reeve, 38, was formally charged with two counts of break-and-enter in relation to these incidents.

Abbotsford Police said that during the first five months of this year, they have responded to 72 business break-and-enters across the city. For comparison, officers attended 178 such incidents throughout all of 2025.

Abbotsford Police are reminding residents and business owners that they can play an important role in supporting community safety by participating in Project Clearview – their voluntary community camera registry program designed to assist criminal investigations and improve response efficiency.
