Abbotsford Police Foundation: 6th annual Crime is Toast – Breakfast with the Chief

THE Abbotsford Police Foundation (APF) invites you to join them for the 6th annual “Crime is Toast – Breakfast with the Chief.”

Abbotsford is recognized nationally for its generosity, and the APF says it’s grateful to the many Abbotsford citizens and businesses who generously donate to the Abbotsford Police Foundation each year to help fund Abbotsford Police Department initiatives. Since 2005, the APF has raised $100,000 and received immeasurable value through in-kind in contributions. All funds raised help support Abbotsford Police Department community policing programs and the purchase of specialized equipment.

This year, as the APF celebrates the 15th anniversary of the Abbotsford Police Foundation and the 25th anniversary of the Abbotsford Police Department its annual signature fundraising event will look a little different as it is moving to a ‘virtual’ online event. Everyone is welcome.

APF President Kevin Boonstra notes: “The Abbotsford Police Foundation has spent the past 15 years helping connect police with our community and funding engaging AbbyPD projects and programs. None of this would have been possible without your generosity.  In these challenging times, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to our community.  Your continued support will help ensure crucial community policing initiatives continue.” Boonstra went on to say: “We look forward to welcoming you to this year’s event. Get together with your family, friends or co-workers for breakfast and tune in to hear from AbbyPD Chief Constable Mike Serr.”

“As we celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Abbotsford Police Department we also want to congratulate the Abbotsford Police Foundation on their 15th anniversary. On behalf of all the men and women of the AbbyPD, I would like to personally thank each of you who have helped make these programs and initiatives possible. Your generosity translates to new tools to assist our members in their day to day work. Thank you for your support,” says Chief Constable Mike Serr. “We invite you to join us for Crime is Toast – Breakfast with the Chief. I’m looking forward to sharing information with you about the work of the department and provide insight into the work of our sworn and civilian members as we come together to celebrate ‘Strength in Community’. We hope you’ll set aside the hour and join us online. I look forward to seeing you there.”
