MLA Greg Kyllo elected BC Liberal Caucus Chair

GREG Kyllo, MLA for Shuswap and Opposition Critic for Environment and Parks, has been elected Caucus Chair for the Official Opposition after receiving unanimous support from the BC Liberal caucus.

“I am incredibly honoured to have received such overwhelming support,” said Kyllo on Tuesday. “I am excited to take on this new responsibility as I continue in my duties as Opposition Environment Critic.”

The Caucus Chair presides over caucus meetings and is an important link between various members of the Official Opposition. Kyllo put his name forward following Fraser-Nicola MLA Jackie Tegart’s announcement that she would step down after serving many dedicated and successful years in the role.

“I want to first of all thank Jackie for her years of dedication and hard work as Caucus Chair,” said Andrew Wilkinson, Leader of the Official Opposition. “I also want to congratulate Greg Kyllo on his unanimous election today. Everyone in our caucus knows that Greg will make an excellent Caucus Chair and help our caucus serve the people of British Columbia as we work hard on the challenges that lie ahead.”
