ON Tuesday, September 12 at 7:59 p.m., Abbotsford Police patrol members responded to the Lefeuvre Road and Huntingdon Road intersection for a reported head-on collision involving two vehicles. 

Police along with members of the BC Ambulance Service and Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service rendered aid to the drivers, a 49-year-old male and a 29-year-old female, who were transported to hospital with serious and life-threatening injuries, respectively. 

The intersection was temporarily closed to the public as members of the Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service attended and assisted investigators at the scene in determining factors that led to the collision.

Police said it is yet unconfirmed whether speed or impairment contributed to the event. Abbotsford Police’s General Investigation Section is leading the investigation and requests anyone with dashcam footage and information about the event to contact them at 604-859-5225.
