ON August 27 at approximately 3:57 a.m., Abbotsford Police patrol officers responded to a report of a break-and-enter at a business in the 1800-block of Forge Place.
The suspects had fled the scene in a vehicle prior to police arrival. Upon arrival, responding officers determined furniture, and other merchandise had been stolen.
Patrol officers quickly identified the suspect vehicle and two suspects, advancing the investigation and gathering evidence that led to the execution of a search warrant at a residence in the 33700-block of Marshall Road on September 11. The search resulted in the successful recovery of the stolen property, while the suspect vehicle was seized by police as offence-related property.
As a result of the investigation, 44-year-old Mario Jovic and 49-year-old Richard White, both known to police, have each been charged with break-and-enter. Both men were arrested and remain in custody.
During the search, officers located and seized approximately $20,000 worth of suspected stolen tools. Investigators are now seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the rightful owners and are releasing photos of the recovered tools.
