A joint investigation between ALERT (Alberta Law Enforcement Response Teams) and RCMP’s Federal Serious and Organized Crime has dismantled an extensive cocaine distribution network linked to a member of the Hells Angels and support club members, police announced on Wednesday.
Project Entry was a year-long investigation that impacted the communities of Edmonton, Spruce Grove, Cold Lake, Whitecourt and Grande Prairie.
Full details of the investigation will be provided at a news conference on Thursday, August 30 at ALERT Edmonton, 18807 Stony Plain Road.
ALERT was established and is funded by the Alberta Government and is a compilation of the province’s most sophisticated law enforcement resources committed to tackling serious and organized crime. Members of Calgary Police Service, Edmonton Police Service, Lethbridge Police Service, Medicine Hat Police Service, and RCMP work in ALERT.
