BURNABY RCMP Traffic Services is investigating a collision that has left two pedestrians in the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, February 25 at 5:20 p.m., Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a collision involving a pickup truck and two pedestrians at North Road and Lougheed Highway. The two adult female victims were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injures.
The driver remained on scene. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
“The driver of the pickup truck was travelling westbound on Lougheed Highway, just west of North Road, when the collision occurred,” said Cpl Mike Kalanj with Burnaby RCMP. “He could have originated from northbound or southbound North Road or further east from Lougheed Highway. If you have dashcam footage in any of these directions, our investigators would like to speak to you.”
Police are requesting anyone that witnessed the incident or may have dashcam footage in the area of North Road and Lougheed Highway between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. (including after the collision occurred) on Tuesday, February 25, to contact the Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 and quote file number 2025-6558.
