ONE person has been charged following an investigation into the Westminster Pier Park fire. As a result of the investigation, an arrest was made and a search warrant was executed in New Westminster. The fire occurred on September 13 and engulfed the old pier section of the riverfront greenspace.

Detectives collaborated with members of the New Westminster Fire and Rescue Service during the course of their investigation.

Sean Warnick, 49, of New Westminster has been charged with mischief to property and arson with damage to property.

He has been released from custody with conditions for an upcoming court appearance.
