CHILLIWACK RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance as police canvas for witnesses and home security or dash camera video for an investigation into an alleged assault.
On March 14, at about 3:30 p.m., Chilliwack RCMP responded to a report that a man at the front of a residence in the 42000-block of Majuba Hill Road, allegedly brandishing a revolver, struck the homeowner who approached the individual.
When confronted by the homeowner’s friend, the man and a second suspect sped away in an older model silver-green coloured Chrysler Seabring.
Police located a 58-year-old-man at the hospital receiving medical treatment for injuries to his head.
Suspect 1:
- White middle-aged man;
- Height: approximately 175 cm (5’9);
- Wearing a knee length coat, camouflage ball cap, green face covering and blue jeans.
Suspect 2:
- White man with brown hair combed back.
Chilliwack RCMP are asking residents and motorists who were travelling in the 42000-block of Majuba Hill Road and surrounding area on March 14, around 2 to 4 p.m., who may have home security or dash cam video to contact police.
“Evidence gathered by officers to this stage of the investigation does not point to a random act,” said Cpl. Mike Rail. “We are reaching out to residents and motorists who may have captured images of the suspects or vehicle to contact us.”
RCMP urge anyone with information regarding this investigation to call police at 604-792-4611 or, should they wish to remain anonymous, call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
