THE deadline to submit applications for the City of Surrey’s Cultural Grants Program is October 3.

Non-profit or cultural organizations can apply for funding support in three categories: Cultural Celebrations Grants, Project Grants and Operating Grants.

With the deadline to apply approaching soon, three information sessions are being held in September. To register for an information session, and learn more about the 2023 Cultural Grants Program and how to apply, visit surrey.ca/culturalgrants.

“The City of Surrey is committed to supporting arts and cultural groups based in Surrey planning events in 2023 through this funding program” said Kim Drabyk, Community Arts Manager.

“I encourage members of organizations planning to apply for a cultural grant, particularly those new to the program to register for one of the three upcoming information sessions in September.”

In 2022, the City distributed more than $500,000 to 67 arts and culture organizations delivering cultural programming in Surrey.

The City introduced this grant program in 2013 to encourage partnerships and collaborations in cultural activities, programs and initiatives that reflect Surrey’s diverse communities. Cultural experiences such as music, dance, theatre, Indigenous arts and more are an important part of enhancing the quality of life in Surrey.
