City of Surrey to host Surrey Canada Day in Cloverdale this Friday

THE City of Surrey is hosting Surrey Canada Day this Friday at Bill Reid Millennium Amphitheatre. The free community event will offer live music, Indigenous education and cultural sharing, dance battles, kid’s activities, the 55+ Summer Social for Seniors and Elders, food trucks and a fireworks finale.

When: Friday, July 1

Time: 10 a.m.-10:30 p.m.

10:30 a.m. – 55+ Summer Social (Agriplex)
12 p.m. – Residential School Survivor Honouring Ceremony (Siam Stage)
1:30 p.m. – Opening Ceremonies with Mayor and Council (Main Stage)
1 p.m. – The Barn opens
6:05 p.m. – Haviah Mighty (Main Stage)

7:20 p.m. – Cultural Sharing with Land-Based Nations (Main Stage)
7:50 p.m. – Shawnee Kish (Main Stage)

9 p.m. – Arkells (Main Stage)

10:15 p.m. – Fireworks
