City of Vancouver: Return your ballot to Election Office by October 15 at 8 p.m.

WITH four days left before Election Day, October 15, all voters who requested a vote-by-mail package must return their ballot no later than 8 p.m. on Saturday, October 15 to make their vote count, the City of Vancouver said on Tuesday.

Voters can send their package through the mail with free return postage, and must consider the delivery standards as set by Canada Post. Alternatively, voters can drop off their package at secure drop boxes across the city instead:

Vote-by-mail reminders

Voters must ensure that they fill out the ballot and follow instructions on how to prepare it for sending back to the Election Office. Instructions are available with each package, on video, and in multiple languages such as Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Tagalog, Punjabi, Vietnamese, Spanish, Korean, Farsi, French, and Japanese, which are available at vancouver.ca/vote.

Voters who choose to request to vote by mail and pick up from the Election Office (305 West 8th Avenue) may still do so by 5 p.m. on October 11. The last day to pick up the vote by mail package from the Election Office is on Friday, October 14 at noon.

 

Other ways to vote

For voters who decide to vote in person instead, they may vote at an advance voting opportunity today, October 11 or on Thursday, October 13 between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. at any of the 22 advance voting places.

Election day is Saturday, October 15. Voters can choose from any of the 82 voting places open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Election Day.
