Coquitlam RCMP seek to identify suspect in indecent act series

COQUITLAM RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect and any potential witnesses in a series of alleged indecent acts which occurred between May 27 and June 4 around Maillard Middle School located at 1300 Rochester Avenue in Coquitlam.

In these incidents, the suspect man has been seen around and on school property between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. The suspect has not approached any person.

Investigators believe that these incidents have been committed by the same unknown person. Coquitlam RCMP are working with School District No. 43 – Coquitlam as they continue the investigations.

Coquitlam RCMP’s Victim Services has been engaged.

The suspect can be described as:

* White male
* Late-teens to 25 years old
* Dirty blonde to light brown short curly hair
* 5’9 – 6’ tall
* Stubble facial hair around the chin
* Slim build

The suspect has been described as wearing:

* Dark hoodie
* Sweatpants
* Slide sandals
* Black backpack
“These incidents occurred near a school during school hours. We understand that these incidents are very concerning and can be traumatic to everyone involved,” said Media Relations Officer, Cpl. Alexa Hodgins. “We are asking anyone who may have information, video surveillance or dash-cam or may have seen something suspicious around Maillard Middle School between 11:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. to contact our investigators.”
