COQUITLAM RCMP are asking for the public assistance in identifying a group of youth suspects who set off a fire extinguisher inside a store causing significant damage.
Frontline officers responded to a mischief report at the Walmart located inside Coquitlam Centre Mall located at 2929 Barnet Highway in Coquitlam on Tuesday, July 2. Police were advised that a group of three youth set off an unopened fire extinguisher inside the store around 8 p.m.
The suspects fled the scene following the incident.
Significant damage was caused to the surrounding area, isle and products. No one was injured.
Suspect one can be described as:
- Middle Eastern male
- 15-19 years old
- Black short curly hair
- Slim build
Suspect one was wearing:
- Grey hooded sweat suit
- White t-shirt underneath
- White earbud headphones
- Black runners
Suspect two can be described as:
- White Male
- 15-19 years old
- Slim build
Suspect two was wearing:
- Black Volcom t-shirt with white lettering on the front and a giant whiteÂ

 on the back - Black jeans with a white detailing on the back pocket
- Black toque with white lettering on the front and back
- White runners
Suspect three can be described as:
- Middle Eastern male
- 15-19 years old
- Black short curly hair
- Slim build
Suspect three was wearing:
- Black and grey camo zip-up hoodie
- Black pants
- Black shoes with white and black laces
- Carrying a black bag
“We are extremely fortunate that no one was injured during this careless and isolated incident as the store was occupied with shoppers,” said Media Relations Officer, Cpl. Alexa Hodgins. “We are asking anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may recognize these suspects to contact the Coquitlam RCMP at 604-945-1580.”
