THERE was a show of massive support for B.C. Conservative Party Vice President Harman Bhangu, who’s running in the new Langley-Abbotsford riding, at his fundraiser on Wednesday at Langley Banquet Hall.
Some 300 people, including top BC Conservative Party members, turned up to express their support for Bhangu who is expected to be a prominent leader.
B.C. Conservative Leader John Rustad said: “[David] Eby’s NDP is running a Trudeau Liberal MP against hardworking trucker and businessman Harman Bhangu. Harman is going to blow the entitled Eby/Trudeau elites out of the water. People want common sense change — Harman is that change. He’s a regular, hardworking family man.”
Bhangu has been director of the South Surrey-White Rock electoral district association for the Conservative Party of Canada (MP Kerry-Lynne Findlay’s riding). He was also on Pierre Poilievre’s leadership run team.
Bhangu, who is happily married and is the proud father of a son and daughter, says he is honoured to be a first-generation Canadian, born at Surrey Memorial Hospital to an immigrant family. Langley is Bhangu’s home, and he is deeply committed to understanding and addressing the unique issues and needs of its residents while advocating for common sense in British Columbia.
With 15 years of experience in the heavy-load trucking industry, Bhangu notes that he has gained firsthand insight into the challenges posed by government waste and increased taxes. As an aggregate hauler, he handles operations and bids for contracts, playing a crucial role in the construction of the infrastructure and amenities that benefit the community.
A life-long sports enthusiast, Bhangu has learned invaluable lessons on the field. He has dedicated hundreds of hours both as a player and a coach for minor league football.
