COVID-19 outbreak at Delta’s KinVillage, outbreak over at Maple Ridge’s Baillie House

FRASER Health on Sunday declared a COVID-19 outbreak at KinVillage in South Delta. Three staff members at KinVillage have tested positive for COVID-19. The outbreak is confined to the long term care building, and is not connected to the outbreak that was declared on January 3 in the assisted living building.

Meanwhile, a COVID-19 outbreak at Baillie House in Maple Ridge is over. With the implementation of comprehensive strategies to prevent and respond to COVID-19 in care facilities, there are no longer any COVID-19 cases at this location.

KinVillage is a long term care, assisted living, independent living, and seniors supportive housing campus of care that is owned and operated by KinVillage Association. The staff members are currently in self-isolation at their homes.

Fraser Health has worked with the site to support the implementation of enhanced control measures. Fraser Health is also working with the site to identify anyone who may have been exposed, and is taking steps to protect the health of all staff, clients, residents and families.
