Since the inception of Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers 42 years ago, 8,460 arrests have been made based on anonymous tips, and more than half-a-billion dollars in property and drugs have been recovered. All anonymous tips are passed on to law enforcement agencies without any identifying information about the callers.
“With ongoing concerns over crimes like extortion and the violence it brings, human trafficking, seniors abuse, the advent of AI and online fraud and more, we urge anyone with information on any crime, or any most-wanted criminals on the loose, to call us,” said Linda Annis, Executive Director of Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers. “As always, we don’t want to know your identity or where you’re from, we just want information that can help police solve crimes. It really works.
“January has been officially declared “Crime Stoppers Month” in B.C. to increase awareness and encourage people to call. This includes everyone including new immigrants to B.C. who might not speak English fluently or bring a distrust of police and authority from some of the countries they leave behind. We accept tips 24/7 in 115 languages, and our call takers will gladly walk anyone through the process, no matter what language they speak.”
The 2025 Impact Report also notes the success of Metro Vancouver Crime Stoppers’ ongoing “See Something, Say Something” crime prevention workshops which were presented to 19,600 school students last year.
Another “See Something, Say Something”presentation tailored to seniors’ groups on the topic of elder abuse prevention and reporting was seen by 4,100 attendees in 2025.
