Burnaby RCMP say a dangerous offender who escaped custody in Burnaby has been captured in Surrey.

Ronald Currie Miljure was arrested last night after he walked away from his handlers earlier this week while en route to prison.

Cpl. David Reid said he was sentenced to six months in prison for sexually assaulting three prostitutes in the Vancouver area.

RCMP say the 35-year-old man has serious substance abuse issues with alcohol and crystal meth and is considered at high risk to reoffend.
