SURREY RCMP officers are at the scene of a daylight shooting that took place around 1:30 p.m. near Scott Road and 84 Avenue.
Well-known Punjabi journalist Gurpreet Singh Sahota posted some photos of the car that was targeted and another car that was also hit by bullets on his X account.
He said one person had been injured.

Later, Surrey RCMP said that at 1:33 p.m. they received a report of shots fired in the 8400-block of 120 Street. Frontline officers attended the scene and located a man who appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds. The victim was transported to hospital with serious injuries.
At approximately 2:07 p.m., Surrey RCMP were notified of a vehicle fire in the 9900-block of 179 Street. Further investigation is required to link the two incidents, police said.

Road closures are currently in effect northbound from 84 Avenue to 82 Avenue and eastbound 120 Street to 122 Street. Police are asking the public to take alternate routes to avoid traffic congestion.
The Surrey RCMP General Investigation Unit (GIU) has conduct of both investigations and are in the evidence gathering phase.

THE ATTACK: The killers pull up to the victim’s vehicle as he prepares to turn right onto the road, and pump bullets into him and drive off. The victim stumbles out of his vehicle and collapses. Good Samaritans rush to his aid.
