THE City of Delta is inviting residents to share their feedback on the design and operation of the Coast-to-Coast Trail and the pilot disc golf course at Diefenbaker Park. As both projects are located within the park, residents interested in either the Trail or the disc golf course are encouraged to share their thoughts on both projects. The engagement runs from February 3 to March 2 with opportunities to learn more and provide feedback online.
“We’re really excited to hear from the community,” says Delta Mayor George V. Harvie. “The Coast-to-Coast Trail and disc golf course is about encouraging people to get outside, and this engagement gives residents a chance to share what matters most to them as the projects move forward. Their input will help us make sure these spaces work well for everyone who uses them.”
The Coast-to-Coast Trail is a proposed mixed-use greenway connecting Fred Gingell Park to Centennial Beach, designed to offer recreational opportunities along the way for all ages and abilities. The construction of an additional separated pathway will not be required, as the Trail will be built using existing pathways, sidewalks, and park trails. Developed in partnership with the Rotary Club of Tsawwassen, the Trail will include targeted pathway upgrades, wayfinding signage, and four fitness nodes to better connect residents to Delta’s parks, waterfront, and natural spaces.
The Trail route passes through Diefenbaker Park, where a 12-hole pilot disc golf course was introduced in 2025, allowing the City to gather feedback on both projects through a coordinated engagement process.
The pilot disc golf course was developed with input from disc golf user groups and a professional course designer, following the removal of the former Winskill Park course. Feedback received to date has already helped inform improvements to the course. This engagement will focus on identifying any remaining concerns or opportunities that can be addressed before the pilot is considered a permanent feature at Diefenbaker Park.
Residents are encouraged to learn more about both projects and share their feedback online by March 2 at letstalk.delta.ca/CoastToCoast.
