Don’t risk lives of kids, teachers; wait until we have a vaccine

ME THINKS … It is ludicrous to hold classes before we can come up with a vaccine for COVID-19. Just for your information, no age group is safe from the virus as we can see from these stats from the south Indian state of Telangana that the high court there had demanded from the officials: More than 65 per cent of those who tested positive for COVID-19 are between the ages of 21 and 50 years; those in the age group of 21-40 comprise 47.1 per cent of the total, while those between 41 and 50 comprise 18.6 per cent; among all nine age groups, the 31-40 years group is the worst affected, accounting for 25 per cent of all cases; 14.7 of those who tested positive are in the age group of 51-60; 10.9 per cent of those affected by the virus are above 60 years; the percentage for children below 10 years stands at 3.4, while those between 11 and 20 years comprise 5.3 per cent. So really, NO ONE is immune. If any kid or teacher dies because of COVID-19, their blood will surely be on the hands of the politicians and officials who are insisting on holding classes.
