Mississauga, Ontario: Mercedes-Benz Canada has announced that the versatile, updated EQB 300 4MATIC SUV will be arriving at dealerships from coast-to-coast by the end of Q2 2024, joining the front-wheel drive EQB 250+ SUV. The fully variable 4MATIC all-wheel drive EQB 300 is a practical luxury SUV with powerful proportions yet compact dimensions, providing a generous amount of space for up to seven passengers with an optional third row. The EQB 300 4MATIC SUV will be available in Canada at an all-inclusive cash selling price of $71,580 [1]Â (European model 2024 EQB 4MATIC 300 SUV pictured, without third row, price includes base MSRP of $64,990, optional 19″ 5-Spoke Wheels with Black Accents, optional High Tech Silver Metallic paint, plus fees and additional charges). The 2024 EQB 300 4MATIC SUV will be available in Canada with extensive standard features, including: 18-inch wheels with all-season tires; 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch touchscreen multimedia display; updated generation of Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX); panoramic sunroof; heated front seats; Ambient Lighting; multifunction steering wheel in leather with touch button controls and shift paddles; power liftgate; voice control; split-folding rear seats (40/20/40); 8-way power driver and passenger seat with 3-position memory; rearview camera; adaptive braking technology; blind spot assist, and much more.
Customers will be greeted in the new EQB 300 4MATIC SUV by an updated generation of MBUX. The appearance of the displays can be customized with three display styles (subtle/sporty/classic) and three modes (navigation/assistance/service). As part of the updated offer logic, the central display is now part of the standard equipment. The presentation of the charging features within MBUX has also been improved. By activating online services in the Mercedes me connect digital ecosystem [3], the intelligent voice assistant becomes even more capable of dialogue and learning. Available new trims include an illuminated star pattern design that wows drivers and passengers alike. The optional Burmester® Surround Sound System, in conjunction with the newer MBUX generation, features the immersive Dolby Atmos® audio experience. This gives music more space, clarity and depth.
The exterior of the EQB 300 4MATIC SUV has also been refreshed and now features a newly designed black panel surface with star pattern at the front and a horizontal fibre-optic strip connecting to the daytime running lights of the full-LED headlamps, ensuring a high level of recognizability both in daylight and at night. Trim elements in high-gloss black are integrated in the side protrusions, with the so-called fog lamp recessed.
The EQB 300 4MATIC SUV has an optional third row of seats comprising two extra individual seats. The seats offer people up to a height of 1.65 metres a comfortable amount of space. Extensive safety features include retractable head restraints, seat belts with belt tensioners and force limiters on all outer seats and a side windowbag that also covers passengers in the third row. A total of up to four child seats can be fitted in rows two and three. To increase luggage space, the third-row seats can be lowered flush into the load floor.
Improved sensor technology includes a new mono-multipurpose camera and a new backup camera. The available Driving Assistance package contains improved functions in detail, including Active Lane Keeping Assist. Thanks to more powerful environment sensors and MBUX integration, the parking systems can also better support the driver when maneuvering. The Parking Package with 360-degree camera supports the driver when parking in and out of longitudinal and transverse parking spaces.
Payment at the charging station is convenient with the Mercedes me connect service “Mercedes me Charge” [2, 4]Â which integrates charging point operators such as ChargePoint, BC Hydro, Electric Circuit, and FLO into a single network. With access to more than 20,000 public charging points in Canada and nearly 100,000 across the United States, Mercedes me Charge is already one of the largest integrated charging networks in North America, and Mercedes-Benz is working to improve customer availability and convenience even further.
In November 2023, the first Mercedes-Benz Charging Hub in North America opened, the first step in Mercedes-Benz’s commitment to invest more than $1 billion in a joint venture with MN8 Energy, to deliver 2,500 high-power, branded chargers within at least 400 ultra-fast charging hubs across North America by the end of the decade. In February 2024, the IONNA joint venture between Mercedes-Benz and six other automakers also received approval from regulatory agencies, paving the way for a minimum of 30,000 additional high-powered chargers across North America.
