ON Thursday, November 7 at 5:06 p.m., Surrey RCMP responded to a report of a vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. Police officers, paramedics and Surrey Fire Service attended the scene and located a deceased male.
The Surrey RCMP Criminal Collision Investigation Team is investigating the fatal hit-and-run. Officers believe a 66-year-old male pedestrian was struck by a vehicle that was driving southbound on 176th Street in the area of 26th Avenue. The suspect vehicle did not remain on scene.
Police are seeking anyone who witnessed the collision to contact police. They are also looking for anyone driving in that area around the time of the collision who had a dashcam. Police are seeking witnesses and dashcam footage between 4:50 p.m. to 5:20 p.m.
