ON Saturday at approximately 4:40 a.m., Langley RCMP responded to a person in distress on Fraser Highway between 232 Street and 240 Street.

Officers located a pedestrian who had suffered injuries consistent with being struck by a vehicle. Both the driver and the vehicle involved did not remain at the scene.

“First responders immediately began life-saving efforts. Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to their injuries at the scene,” said Sgt. Zynal Sharoom of Langley RCMP. “The Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service (ICARS) has deployed to the area to assist Langley RCMP with this investigation.”
