AT 5:07 a.m. on Thursday, Abbotsford Emergency Services responded to a collision at the intersection of Clearbrook Road and Peardonville Road.

A woman in her 40’s had been struck by a pick-up truck. She was transported to hospital by BC Ambulance Service. However, she succumbed to her injuries.

The driver remained on scene and is cooperating with the police. She did not sustain any injuries.

Abbotsford Police patrol officers and collision reconstructionists remain on scene at this time and continue their investigation. The cause has yet to be determined. However, impaired is not considered a factor, police said.
