RICHMOND RCMP are appealing for witnesses and video following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on December 31.

On December 31 at approximately 6:53 a.m., officers responded to a motor vehicle collision in the area of Williams Road and Seacote Road. The incident involved a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle. Officers secured the scene while Emergency Health Services and Richmond Fire-Rescue provided medical assistance to the pedestrian.

Unfortunately, the individual succumbed to their injuries. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. The Richmond RCMP Serious Crime Unit has assumed conduct of the investigation.

Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or possesses dash-cam footage from the area is asked to contact Richmond RCMP and reference file number 2025-41650.

As this is an active investigation, no further details are available at this time, police said.
