TORONTO: MonstrARTity’s upcoming production, Monster Rock Orchestra (MRO) presented by TD, is expected to bring thousands of people to Yonge-Dundas Square this Friday, May 22 at 7 p.m. for a never seen before music and laser spectacle.
Rockin’ fun will continue at the official MRO After Party at Hard Rock Cafe!
Monster Rock Orchestra: MRO was born out of a dream for bright lights, a rockin’ band, an audience of thousands, and…an orchestra. Designed to be enjoyed by all ages, the Monster Rock Orchestra takes you on a pop and rock musical roller coaster of all-time favourite hits. Accented by a spectacle of lasers, stages and audiences alike are rocked by this electrifying performance.
Last Bullet: Last Bullet’s latest single “Runnin’ Out of Time” has been garnering spins on multiple radio stations across North America. Their hit track “State of Confusion” was broadcast across Canada as the opening intro to the World Junior Championship gold medal game between Canada and Russia.
Mississauga Pops: A passion for music, good fun, and a sense of community has brought together over 55 amateur and semi-professional performers from a range of backgrounds. The Mississauga Pops bring a sense of variety to their audiences, including classical, swing/big band, jazz, marches, contemporary, rock, and the latest Broadway tunes.
Supported by the Downtown Yonge BIA, Monster Rock Orchestra is an original production and the headliner of this free concert. This year, the MRO will be performing hits from Maroon 5, Guns n’ Roses, Bon Jovi, Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Michael Jackson and more.
Yonge-Dundas Square is open to all for the MRO show and audiences can enjoy the concert while digging into the delicious food offered by on-site vendors. About Vikas Kohli
Vikas Kohli is the first composer to receive the Trailblazer Award from the ReelWorld Film Festival, the first composer to receive a Voice Achievers Award and he also received a MARTY award from the Mississauga Arts Council. Kohli has composed and produced music for film-makers and recording artists from Canada, Bollywood, Europe and the USA. His compositions have appeared in award-winning feature films, award-winning documentaries, and award-winning comedies. They have also been telecast as live performances at award shows as far away as the IIFA (International Indian Film Academy) Awards and as nearby as the Hamilton Music Awards.
