Four sustain non-life-threatening injuries in rollover collision in Surrey (update)

SURREY RCMP are investing a rollover motor vehicle collision that occurred on Monday afternoon in Whalley.

On August 19 at approximately 2:13 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle collision at the intersection of King George Boulevard and 96 Avenue.

The preliminary investigation indicates a Range Rover was traveling eastbound on 96 Avenue when it crashed into a Nissan Rogue that was stopped, waiting to turn into a restaurant at that location. The crash caused the Nissan Rogue to roll over and the Range Rover came to a stop on top of the Nissan Rogue.

When officers arrived on scene, they worked closely with Surrey Fire Service and BC Emergency Health Services to extricate all parties involved in the collision. The drivers of both vehicles, including a passenger and infant traveling in the Nissan Rogue, were all transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Traffic lanes in the area have re-opened.

The investigation is ongoing to determine the contributing factors of this collision. Anyone who has information regarding this incident or may have dash camera footage is asked to call Surrey RCMP at 604-599-0502 and quote file 2024-122943.
