“CRIME is Toast” presented by the Abbotsford Police Foundation (APF), will be held on October 28 to raise funds in support of the Abbotsford Police Department.
The breakfast with APD Chief Constable Bob Rich will build awareness of public safety, the work of the APD and the Abbotsford Police Foundation. The Abbotsford Police Foundation has committed to raise $40,000 this year. The funds raised will help fight property crime in the community. Your contribution will fund equipment, technology and programs to combat this growing problem head on.
Rich said: “Policing in Abbotsford works so well because of the tremendous support the APD receives from the community. We are excited to have an event where we can touch base with the people we serve, provide an update on current challenges and work with the Foundation to raise money to add one more tool to “our belts” to keep both residents and police personnel safe at high risk calls. I look forward to seeing you at breakfast!”
APF President Kevin Boonstra invites you to attend and bring along your colleagues, family and friends to show support for the great work of the brave men and women of the Abbotsford Police Department. There is also an opportunity for you to get in on the ground floor and show your support as a sponsor for this high profile event. “We’re working hard to make sure that Crime is Toast. We invite you to join us,” he said.
Crime is Toast will be held at the Abbotsford Ramada on October 28 from 7:30 – 9:30 a.m. To purchase tickets and for information on sponsorship opportunities visit the APF website: www.abbypf.ca
About the APF: Since its inception in 2005 the Abbotsford Police Foundation (APF) has been quietly helping provide a wide range of much needed community policing and outreach assistance not covered by the annual operating budget of the Abbotsford Police Department (APD). The APD cannot directly receive donations; however, the Abbotsford Police Foundation (APF) is a trusted, practical way to support the police and public safety in the growing community.
In accordance with their Donation Policy, the APF provides a charitable receipt for every qualified donation over $100.
