THE National Council of Canadian Muslims (NCCM) announced on Friday that the funeral of the victims of the London, Ontario, terror attack will take place on Saturday, June 12 at 1:30 p.m. at London’s Islamic Centre of Southwest Ontario located at 951 Pond Mills Road in the parking lot and soccer field.
Attendees are asked to:
– bring a green and purple ribbon with them;
– Socially distance and wear masks;
– Bring an umbrella and water;
– Bring a prayer mat if you plan on joining the prayer itself.
Attendees are asked to arrive early and park nearby.
Police will be in attendance providing security.
Media can attend, but are asked to keep a respectful distance from mourners.
No political leaders will be speaking, as this event will be solely dedicated for Canadians mourning and praying for the deceased.
The funeral will be open to the public and parking will be limited. Individuals are strongly urged to carpool.
A private burial will take place afterward, reserved for close family and friends.
