IHIT called in after body found in Surrey’s Hazelnut Meadows Park (follow-up)

SURREY RCMP have called in the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) after a body was found in a park on Wednesday night.

On May 26 at 8:43 p.m., Surrey RCMP were called to Hazelnut Meadows Park located near 140 Street between 68 Avenue and 70 Avenue. Officers located a deceased man whose injuries were consistent with suspected foul play.

IHIT investigators will be working in partnership with the Surrey RCMP. Investigators are asking for dash cam video for May 26 between 8 and 9 p.m. in the area of 68 Avenue and 140 Street.

Police are currently in the evidence gathering phase.
