It is with a heavy heart and great sorrow we announce the passing of our mom, Harbans Kaur Bhullar.

Harbans Kaur (Bains) Bhullar, age 86, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2023, due to a sudden decline in her health. She was born December 10, 1936 in Lakhpur, India to Gurbachan Singh and Jaginder Kaur Bains. In 1956, she moved to Vancouver, Canada and married her husband, Harnam Singh Bhullar.

Harbans was not only a homemaker but also held numerous production line jobs. In 1973, Harbans and Harnam purchased a berry farm in Surrey. Harbans continued to devote her time to the farm after the loss of her husband in 1980. Her entrepreneurial spirit would shine over the next couple of decades and into her later years she would continue to lend a hand.

She is survived by her children, Sheila (Harbhajan), Tony, Sonny, Sally (Kirt), Lucky (Henrik), grandchildren Ronnie, Justin, Stefanie (Zameer), Trevor (Kate), Brittany (Stefan), and one great-grandchild Sophia, close family friend Wayne, sisters Gurbax (Tirath), Ranjit (Jaspal), as well as many nieces and nephews. She cared deeply for her family, extended family, friends, and neighbours. 

Please join us in celebrating her life on Thursday, December 7, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Hamilton Harron Funeral Home, 5390 Fraser Street, Vancouver, with prayers to follow at Akali Singh Sikh Society Gurdwara 1890 Skeena Street, Vancouver.
