Integrated Homicide Investigation Team remains on scene after two found dead in Coquitlam

THE Integrated Homicide Investigation Team remains on scene in Coquitlam where two people were found dead on Thursday.

Just after 2 p.m. on July 16, Coquitlam RCMP were called to a home in the Westwood Plateau area after reports were received of two people found dead in a residence.

IHIT Sgt. Stephanie Ashton said: “We are in the very early stages of this investigation,  our focus right now is to identify the two people found in the home. IHIT is working with Coquitlam RCMP to determine what happened in the home and we ask that anyone who may have information about this investigation to come forward.”

Investigators are expected to be in the area of 1600 Alpine for several hours.
