On this happy occasion, we recall their services and sacrifices with gratitude and resolve to uphold and nourish the hard won freedom. I invite all Indian citizens and DSC_4614Persons of Indian Origin in Western Canada to celebrate this joyous occasion with gaiety and continue to contribute in whatever way they can in making India even stronger and strengthening the cordial relations existing between India and Canada. India is very proud of its diaspora abroad who, with its hard work, dedication and success in all spheres of human activity, has made its motherland very proud.

“A new Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has recently taken over in India with a decisive mandate. There is renewed optimism and widespread exuberance all over about the resurgence of a strong and prosperous India which would continue to play an important role in promoting world peace, prosperity and universal brotherhood, May this happen in the quickest possible time! Jai Hind!”
