VANCOUVER Police said on Monday that of the 11 people killed in Saturday’s Lapu Lapu Day tragedy, nine are female and \two are male. Police said they will “in time” release the names of all the deceased.
Of those in hospital, seven are in critical condition and three are in serious condition. Other victims may have been discharged. There are those who have been injured but have not spoken to police yet – they are encouraged to speak to police. Police say they are still processing the large crime scene and may wrap up by tonight or possibly tomorrow.
BOOKS of condolence are available for members of the public to express their sympathies and messages of support following the tragedy at the Lapu-Lapu Festival in Vancouver on Saturday, April 26, the Province announced on Monday.
Members of the public may sign a book of condolence at the Parliament Buildings in Victoria, located in the Hall of Honour. The book will be accessible daily from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., from now through Friday, May 2.

The online book is the easiest and most convenient way for people to pay their respects. It will remain open until 5 p.m. on Monday, May 5.
