DELTA Police are currently on scene investigating an incident involving a vehicle that occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday in the 7000-block of Scott Road.
Initial reports indicate that a male was struck by what witnesses describe as a large truck. This incident does not appear to be criminal in nature. The male, unfortunately, has passed away as a result of his injuries. Delta Police are currently working on conducting a next-of-kin notification.
“Police would like to speak to anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who has dashcam footage and was in the area at this time,” said A/Sgt. Leisa Schaefer, spokesperson for Delta Police. “There is some indication that the driver of the vehicle may not have been aware that they hit someone.”
