Man on parole for police office’s murder arrested for uttering threats

VANCOUVER Police say that a 66-year-old man was arrested after threatening a gas station clerk at 4 p.m. on Saturday, January 18 when his points card wouldn’t work.

The suspect allegedly said he’d return to the station at East Broadway and Clark Drive to shoot the employee, prompting staff to call 9-1-1.

It was later revealed the man was on parole for a 1981 murder when he shot a police officer. His parole has now been revoked, he’s in jail, and a new charge for uttering threats has been recommended.
