BURNABY RCMP’s Serious Crime Section is investigating a shooting that has left one man with non-life-threatening injuries.
On Tuesday, October 8 just after 7:45 p.m., Burnaby RCMP frontline officers responded to a report of a possible shooting in the area of Kitchener Street and Madison Avenue in North Burnaby. Police located a man with a gunshot wound. The man was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
“While it is still early in the investigation, it appears this incident was targeted,” said Cpl. Mike Kalanj with Burnaby RCMP on Wednesday. “If you witnessed this incident or have any information that could assist police with this investigation, please come forward and speak to our investigators.”
Witnesses or drivers with any type of video in the area surrounded by Carlton Avenue, William Street, Willingdon Avenue and Gravely Street, between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. on October 8 are asked to contact Burnaby RCMP at 604-646-9999 and quote file 2024-34818.
