SURREY RCMP announced on Wednesday that the 40-year-old South Asian man reported missing on August 31 was located deceased on September 5.

Criminality does not appear to be a factor in his death and the investigation has been turned over to BC Coroners Service, police said.

Surrey RCMP offered their sincerest condolences to the family and friends of the man.
