Motor cyclist killed in collision with transport bus in Richmond

ON Monday, shortly before 12:30 p.m., frontline Richmond RCMP officers responded to the area of Russ Baker Way and Inglis Drive for a motor vehicle collision between a motorcycle and a transport bus.

Despite the efforts of emergency personnel on scene, the operator of the motorcycle was pronounced deceased. The operator of the transport bus was not injured.

The Richmond RCMP CCIT (Criminal Collision Investigation Team) has assumed conduct of the investigation and is being assisted by the Lower Mainland ICARS (Integrated Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Service).

Road closures around the area will be in effect as police investigate. Police request drivers to avoid the area and seek alternate routes.
